I’ve been a fan of Tettix for a while now and was super pleased to see he had a new project up free for download.
More info:
The entire album is a remodeling of Igor Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring” - a ballet that caused riots at its 1913 debut because of a brazen use of dissonance and polyrythms. It was a symphony that changed the very definition of music and I hope I’ve done it at least some justice. If you’re unfamiliar with the original, I highly recommend you check it out (there’s full videos on Youtube of the symphony).

When a geometric visitor from another planet becomes your new roommate and shares with you the tragic state of its home world, you drop your guitar and see what you can do. We created this piece in response to the accompanying music track we created in honor of a visiting cat named Leo.

Oh nevermind, it’s just a transformation of two stellated rhombic dodecahedrons. Duh! Now I totally get it.
